Job summary

A dedicated NDIS provider in Newcastle is seeking two compassionate Disability Support Workers to join their team. These part-time positions involve providing person-centred assistance with daily living, implementing behaviour support strategies, and maintaining documentation. You will work collaboratively to ensure high-quality support is delivered while fostering a positive and respectful environment. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years' experience in disability support and a Certificate III in Individual Support.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Manual Handling, especially with a ceiling hoist lifter.
  • Experience supporting individuals with an acquired brain injury.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in disability support.
  • Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Current NSW Driver's License.

PPT Maternity relief position 30hr contract (January 2026 start)

(Potential ongoing employment in an alternative service once the relief period ends)

Roster

Tuesday: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm

Wednesday: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm

Thursday: 3:30 pm – 10:30 pm

Friday: 3:30 pm – 10:30 pm

PPT 20 hours per week (Tues-Fri) (Immediate start)

10pm-11pm (active hours)

11:00pm – 7:00am (sleepover)

7:00am – 11:00am (active hours)

Includes 5 hours active sleepover allowance per shift.

The Role

We are seeking two compassionate reliable and professional Disability Support Workers to join our Glendale. In this role you will provide person‑centred assistance with daily living, implement behaviour support strategies and maintain accurate documentation. You will work collaboratively with the care team to ensure consistent high‑quality support while fostering a positive respectful and empowering environment for participants.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience with Manual Handling (specifically full ceiling hoist lifter)
  • Experience supporting individuals with an acquired brain injury
  • Minimum 2 years experience in disability support
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or higher)
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Current NSW Drivers License
  • Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards
