Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Ferrovial invites a hands-on Technical Innovation Leader to drive energy and infrastructure projects across its global units. You will identify transformative technologies, validate them through pilots, and build scalable business cases for senior leadership.
You will work across airports, energy and digital infrastructure, applying rigorous engineering judgment and stakeholder management to ensure practical, investable outcomes.
Are you ready to elevate your career with a global leader in infrastructure solving complex problems and generating a positive outcome on people's lives? At Ferrovial, we are not just a company; we are a community of innovators and trailblazers. Ferrovial is also leading the development of the New Terminal One at JFK International Airport. Ferrovial shares trade under the ticker symbol FER on two stock markets: Nasdaq in the U.S. (Nasdaq100 Index) and the Spanish Stock Exchanges (IBEX 35). Ferrovial is included in globally recognized sustainability indices such as the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Index. We operate in more than 15 countries and have a workforce of over 22,000 professionals worldwide. Ferrovial's activity is carried out through our business units, including Highways, Airports, Construction, and Energy.
Our Corporate organization oversees business activities, providing strategic planning, communication, legal, finance and human resources services to the business units. As a member of our corporate organization, you will have a broad view of our company, further supporting your career development.
What if your next project didn't end up as a slide in a deck, but as technology actually running in an airport, a highway, a solar or wind power plant, or a data center?
We are looking for a hands-on technical innovation leader who can work where energy strategy becomes real infrastructure: storage, grid connection, microgrids, electrification, critical power, resilience and renewable generation. You will assess emerging technologies with rigor, shape practical use cases and lead them through testing and validation, building the evidence the business needs to decide whether to invest, scale or stop.
You will join Corporate Innovation and work across Ferrovial's businesses: Airports, Cintra, Ferrovial Energy and Digital Infrastructure. Success in the role requires strong engineering judgement, the ability to distinguish genuine breakthroughs from incremental improvements, and the credibility to engage technical and business stakeholders alike—translating complex challenges into well-structured pilots, clear investment decisions and scalable business opportunities.
This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of infrastructure by bringing cutting-edge technologies from concept to real-world deployment across a global leader in the sector. Experience in mission-critical environments, including data centers, is a plus, but not essential.
We are not looking for a purely strategic profile without hands-on engineering. Someone who prefers staying in day-to-day operations rather than pushing change forward. Someone who wants to specialize in a single asset class.
Innovative, creative, respectful, and diverse are some of the ways we describe ourselves. We are motivated by challenges, and we collaborate across our business units to move the world together. Your journey to a fulfilling career starts here!
