Job summary

Aspen Technology, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in Sydney (Macquarie Park) to deliver, configure, and support SCADA solutions for power utilities.

You will work with customers to capture requirements and translate them into deployable engineering outcomes across EMS, GMS, and ADMS projects. The role requires a degree in Electrical/Systems Engineering and hands-on experience in automation, SCADA, and related IT skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of experience in the electric utility industry and project experiences in automation / SCADA.
• Strong technical background in automation and computers with knowledge of C/C++, Python, relational databases, HTML and XML.

Responsibilities

• Define project requirements with customers through effective communication and engineering/product expertise.
• Design, build, integrate, test and commission power utility SCADA systems (EMS, GMS, or ADMS).
• Perform FAT/SAT and regression testing and resolve issues during testing.
• Provide support to sales and solutions engineering teams as needed.
