Job summary

Tridant Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our Data & AI team in Australia. You will design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, translating business needs into robust reports and data models that drive strategic decisions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, implement data governance, and stay current with Power BI features to deliver high-quality insights across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and data-driven mindset.
• 2+ years in developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL querying.
• Strong data modelling and reporting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into technical BI solutions.
• Create and optimise data models following best practices.
• Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query and DAX.
• Ensure data accuracy and governance, including row-level security.
• Provide end-user training and documentation for BI solutions.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our growing Data & AI team. Reporting to the Data & AI Practice Manager, this role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Create and optimise data models using Power BI best practices
• Perform data transformation, cleansing, and integration using Power Query and DAX
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across reports
• Implement row-level security and manage access controls in Power BI
• Provide training, support, and troubleshooting assistance to end users
• Maintain documentation on data sources, models, and reporting processes
• Stay updated with new Power BI features and industry best practices
• Maintain the reliability and performance of Power BI solutions
• Proactively suggest and implement improvements to BI reporting processes
• Balance and prioritise multiple projects and stakeholder demands

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics or related field
• 2+ years of experience in developing Power BI reports and Dashboards
• Proven experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, normalisation, and reporting concepts.

Technical Skills:

• SQL (T-SQL or PL/SQL)
• Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.)
• ETL tools and processes
• Familiarity with APIs, data connectors, and Power BI Gateway
• Source control (e.g., Git) is a plus
