Job summary

The University of New South Wales Canberra invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow at the UNSW Nuclear Innovation Centre (UNIC). Based in Canberra, this fixed-term, full-time position supports the Socio-Technical nuclear Systems program, contributing to high-impact research on nuclear technologies across disciplines.

You will work with colleagues from UNSW Law, Engineering and Canberra faculties, engage with international partners, and develop independent projects under supervision of

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Experience with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Experience with qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research.
• Willingness to develop skills in computational data analysis.
• Commitment to staying up-to-date with disciplinary knowledge.
• Ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision.
• Track record of publications and conference presentations.
• Ability to work in a team and build relationships.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the UNSW Nuclear Innovation Centre (UNIC) Socio-Technical nuclear Systems program.
• Collaborate with UNSW Law, Engineering and Canberra faculties, including international partners.
• Develop and pursue defined research projects relevant to the field.
• Based in the School of Science at UNSW Canberra.
• Report to Associate Professor Elizabeth Williams.
