Job summary

Allcast Precast is seeking a Pool Grouter & Tilers Assistant to support our tiling team at the plunge pool factory. This hands-on, physical role involves prepping surfaces, mixing grout, and assisting the lead tiler through every stage of the job.

You will work outdoors with a small crew, focusing on grouting, tile handling, and tool setup. Training is provided; a White Card and a current driver's licence are required, or be willing to obtain them before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience in tiling, grouting, or related trade; pool industry experience is a plus but training will be provided.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, and perform outdoor manual work.
• Good attention to detail with a pride in a clean finish.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a small crew.
• Must have a current driver's licence and a White Card (Construction Induction Card) or be willing to obtain one before starting.

Responsibilities

• Grout swimming pool tiles, including waterlines, steps, ledges, and pool interiors, to a consistent, high-quality finish.
• Mix grout, adhesive, and sealants to the correct ratios and consistency.
• Clean excess grout and haze from tiled surfaces without damaging the finish.
• Apply sealants and caulking to joints where necessary.
• Cut, carry, and hand tiles (ceramic, porcelain, glass mosaic) as directed.
• Set out and pack up tools, materials, and equipment on-site each day.
• Keep the worksite clean, tidy, and safe throughout the job.
• Follow site safety requirements and the direction of the lead tiler and site supervisor.

Allcast Precast's Pool Tiling team is growing and we need an additional set of hands to keep pace with our installation schedule. We're looking for a Pool Grouter & Tiler's Assistant to work alongside our pool tilers. This is a hands-on, physical role. You'll spend most of your time working at our plunge pool factory pool where you will work on prepping surfaces, mixing and applying grout, and supporting the lead tiler through every stage of the job.

What We're Looking For
