Job summary

Murdoch University is seeking a senior policy professional to lead development and review initiatives supporting the university’s reregistration program. You will develop and refine governance documents, coordinate complex projects, and provide strategic policy advice.

With a strong background in higher education policy, you will manage a small team to deliver evidence-informed policy outcomes and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements across the university.

Qualifications

• A degree with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education and training.
• Experience leading complex policy development or review projects within a large and complex organisation, ideally in higher education.
• Exceptional written communication skills for clear, concise and practical policies, procedures and governance documents.
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage plans, timelines, risks, stakeholder engagement and reporting.
• Ability to interpret regulatory, governance and operational requirements and translate them into effective policy solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead priority policy development and review initiatives that support the University's higher education provider reregistration program.
• Develop and review policies, procedures, and related governance documents to align with regulatory and operational requirements.
• Manage project delivery, including planning, stakeholder consultation, risk management, reporting, and coordination of priorities and timelines.
• Provide strategic policy advice and lead a small team to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed policy outcomes.
