Job summary

The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations is seeking an APS6 professional to support Closing the Gap initiatives. You will lead and manage projects, perform analysis and provide quality advice to inform decision-making within a collaborative, cross‑departmental team.

Responsibilities include monitoring, reporting, risk management and building strong partnerships with First Nations stakeholders while promoting culturally responsive approaches.

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship required.
• Baseline security clearance required.
• APS6 level position.

Responsibilities

• Managing projects and activities to support Closing the Gap commitments and Priority Reforms.
• Undertaking research, analysis and consultation to inform policy and organisational reforms affecting First Nations peoples.
• Providing clear, accurate, evidence-based advice to support decision-making and improvement activities.
• Coordinating activities across teams and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
• Sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive, inclusive and culturally safe workplace.
