The Government of South Australia is seeking a Policy and Projects Officer to join a dynamic, fast-paced team in Adelaide. You will manage information, monitor delivery of election commitments and strategic priorities, and develop reports and briefs for executives.

Collaboration with senior departmental staff and agencies will be essential to support performance, coordinate briefings, and conduct high level research and analysis to inform advice.

The Policy and Projects Officer will be responsible for information management, monitoring, report development, research, analysis and advice.

Key Outcomes of Role

• Manage the monitoring and reporting on delivery of the State Government’s election commitments and strategic priorities.
• Apply project management knowledge, expertise and experience to support delivery of election commitments and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with senior departmental staff and other government agencies to contribute to the delivery of election commitments and strategic priorities.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders under the direction of the Executive Director.
• Conduct high level research and analysis of information.
• Coordinate and/or prepare high quality briefings, reports and correspondence as required.
• Conduct a range of complex corporate and administrative tasks ensuring support for the overall performance of the PDU.

Special Conditions

• The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
• The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
• Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
• Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
• This role requires a National Criminal History check.
