Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland – Cleveland QLD is seeking a Podiatrist to provide high quality podiatry services including assessment, treatment and education in a community-based setting.

The role is permanent full-time in the Cleveland region with a pay-rate between $44.65-$59.07/hour, depending on experience. You will liaise with a multidisciplinary team to ensure preventative care and early intervention for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in applied science (Podiatry) is required.
• Current registration with AHPRA.
• Current National Police Certificate.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of client needs in the Service environment or client homes.
• Provide treatment and therapy to clients with due care and privacy.
• Develop care plans to meet client needs.
• Liaise with Service team members and external providers for outcomes-based care.
• Organise and order podiatry supplies and equipment as needed.
• Educate clients and carers to ensure preventative care and early intervention.

About the role:

The overall purpose of the Podiatrist is to provide high quality podiatry services, including assessment, treatment, therapy and education to the clients of the Service. You will be responsible for liaising with other clinical and allied health team members to ensure preventative care and early intervention occurs with clients. This role is a permanent full-time opportunity within the Cleveland region. It is a community-based role. The pay-rate will range between $44.65-$59.07/hour depending on your experience. Some of the major duties look like the below:

• Conduct assessments of client needs, within the Service environment or within the client's own home.
• Provide treatment and therapy to clients, in a professional manner, with due care and attention to the safety and privacy of the client.
• Develop care plans to meet the needs of the client.
• Liaise with Service team members, medical practitioners, hospitals and other Community Service providers to ensure the provision of outcomes based, client centred care.
• Organise and order podiatry supplies and equipment as needed.
• Provide education and support, within the scope of the role, to clients and carers and other members of the Service Team, to ensure preventative care and early intervention occurs.

About you:

• Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical podiatry services.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement client centred podiatry programs with an educational, supportive and therapeutic focus within a community services, not for profit or similar organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of continuous quality improvement processes and standards in a clinical setting.

Role Requirements:

• Current National Police Certificate
• Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
• Bachelor's degree in applied science (Podiatry) or similar field
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification
