Job summary

D Group Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking a motivated plumber/gas fitter to join our commercial maintenance team. This on-site role involves reactive and preventative maintenance across multiple sites, delivering high-quality workmanship.

You will diagnose issues, repair toilets, taps, valves, pumps and pipework, and report on job progress using mobile reporting tools. A current plumbing and gas fitting licence is essential, along with strong safety awareness and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Plumbing and Gas fitting Licence.
• Proven experience in plumbing maintenance, preferably commercial.
• Confident working independently and managing multiple jobs.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Reliable, punctual and well presented.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Holds a current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general plumbing maintenance and repairs across small commercial properties.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing issues.
• Attending reactive maintenance and service call-outs.
• Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled works.
• Repairing and maintaining toilets, taps, valves, pumps, pipework and fixtures.
• Identifying issues and providing practical solutions.
• Liaising professionally with clients, tenants and site contacts.
• Completing job reports and relevant documentation.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintaining a clean, professional presentation on-site.
