Service Stream is seeking Plumbers to support the PAS contract across SA, including Edinburgh, Keswick and Woomera. You will repair and maintain plumbing systems in Defence buildings, ensuring compliance and timely maintenance, with opportunities for training and career development.

Applicants must have Certificate III in Plumbing, valid licence endorsements, and the ability to obtain Defence clearance. Australian citizenship required; drive to multiple sites is expected.

Qualificações

• 5 years' experience in plumbing maintenance and repair.
• Experience in large infrastructure environments, preferably within Defence or similar sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Minimum Certificate III in Plumbing or equivalent qualification with valid licence.

Responsabilidades

• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing plumbing issues in Defence buildings and infrastructure.
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing sinks, toilets, water heaters and pipework.
• Ensuring all plumbing work complies with current legislation and standards.

• Participating in ongoing training to stay current with best practices.
• Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing best practices.

About the role

You will ensure the effective and efficient repair and maintenance of plumbing fixtures, fittings, pipework systems, and plumbing-related infrastructure across all Defence buildings, structures, and infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing plumbing issues in Defence buildings and infrastructure.


• Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters.


• Ensuring all plumbing work complies with current legislation and regulatory standards.


• Conducting routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems and pipework.


• Collaborating with other maintenance staff and contractors to complete repairs and installations.


• Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent.


• Responding to emergency plumbing situations promptly and efficiently.


• Advising on the selection of materials and equipment for plumbing repairs and installations.


• Providing technical support and guidance to junior staff and apprentices.


• Participating in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry best practices.


• Identifying areas for process improvement and work collaboratively with teams to implement best practices.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Ideally 5 years' experience in plumbing maintenance and repair work.


• Experience working in large infrastructure environments, preferably within Defence or similar sectors.


• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.


• Minimum of Certificate III in Plumbing or equivalent qualification, and valid Plumbing & Drainage Occupational Licence.


• Licence endorsements for backflow prevention, heat pump water systems, on-site sewerage facility maintenance, solar water systems, and thermostatic mixing valves.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
