Job summary

Overflow Claims is seeking a trades-qualified plumber to work across Southeast Queensland, performing hands-on plumbing, damage assessment, and repair cost estimation for insurers and homeowners.

You will write clear reports, participate in site visits, and grow into assessment and estimating roles as the team expands. A company vehicle or allowance is provided, with tools and diagnostic gear supplied.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified plumber with a current licence for your state.
• Experience in plumbing and repair work.
• Ability to write clear reports for insurers/homeowners.

Job description

You’ll work as a Plumber / Estimator in the insurance repair industry, using your trade skills in hands-on plumbing work while also assessing damage, writing reports for insurers and homeowners, and estimating repair costs. Every day is different, and your work helps get families' homes back on track as part of a growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Leak detection and diagnostics: finding leaks, pressure testing and CCTV drain inspections
• Basic plumbing repairs: fixing the problem on the spot where it makes sense
• Roof inspections and reports: assessing roof condition and damage and writing clear, professional reports
• Compliance reporting: making sure work and findings meet the relevant standards
• Building damage estimates: scoping and pricing insurance repair work accurately
• Travelling to jobs across your region, with some wider travel when needed

About you

• Trade-qualified plumber with a current licence for your state
• At least 5 years' plumbing experience
• Experience with leak detection, pressure testing or CCTV is a big plus
• Confident writing clear reports. Estimating experience is welcome, and we'll train the right person
• High energy, self-motivated and comfortable working on your own
• Good with customers and able to communicate well with homeowners, builders and insurers
• Current driver's licence and happy to travel
• Your own basic hand tools
