Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking a caring Play Session Assistant at our Armidale campus. This part-time, part-year role offers 7 hours per week across 41 weeks per year, with base salary of A$57,877–A$71,271 per annum, pro-rata for part-time, plus employer superannuation and annual leave loading.

You will support the Early Childhood section by preparing play environments, supporting activities, supervising sessions and ensuring a safe, welcoming setting for children and families.

Qualifications

• Experience in an early childhood setting.
• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of engaging learning experiences for children in our Early Childhood Simulated Space.
• Prepare play environments and resources to support educational activities.

About the role

TAFE NSW is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Play Session Assistant to join the team at our Armidale campus. In this part‑time part‑year role you will work 7 hours per week, across 41 weeks of the year.

Working as part of the Early Childhood section, you will support the delivery of engaging learning experiences for children within our Early Childhood Simulated Space. You will assist with preparing play environments and resources, supporting educational activities, supervising play sessions, and maintaining a safe, welcoming and well‑organised environment for children, families, students and staff.

This hands‑on role offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic learning setting and contribute to children's learning and wellbeing.

About you

You have a genuine passion for supporting children to learn, play and thrive. With experience in an early childhood setting and a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, you enjoy building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
