Job summary

Stripe’s Core Infrastructure team builds and maintains the infrastructure used by all product teams to support payments, scale, and reliability. You will help develop core systems and automation that power Stripe’s services globally.

The role focuses on building distributed cloud infrastructure, including database and cache control planes, cloud compute, and networking automation, while collaborating with teams across Stripe to deliver a high-availability platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a software development role.
• Experience building, deploying, and managing infrastructure on a major cloud provider.
• Strong background in building platform services and distributed systems at scale, with a solid grasp of underlying operating system primitives.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and debugging distributed systems, including diagnosing low-level resource constraints.
• Experience with operational excellence and modern observability practices, including distributed tracing, structured logging, and system-level metrics.

• Design, build, and maintain distributed cloud infrastructure and platform services
• Work on scaling, automation, reliability, and observability of infrastructure services
• Operate your service, debug issues, and support customers
• Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization
