Job summary

PointsBet is looking for a Platform Engineer to contribute to the Infrastructure team in a hybrid work model in Australia. You will implement cloud infrastructure, IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling, applying SRE practices and owning reliability of platform components.

You will work with senior engineers to resolve ambiguity, document changes, and continuously improve delivery through AI-assisted tooling and self-service capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating cloud infrastructure and automation in production.
• Proficient in Terraform or similar IaC tooling.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong grasp of SRE concepts and reliability practices.
• Experience with observability stacks and incident response.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement platform components and infra changes per designs.
• Collaborate to clarify requirements and align with design intent.
• Follow IaC, GitOps, and CI/CD standards; document changes.
• Maintain observability, SLOs, and reliability signals.
• Participate in on-call rotations and post-incident reviews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and tooling ideas.
