Job summary

Creative Plastering & Painting Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is seeking a full-time plasterer to join our family-owned team. You will install plasterboard, set and finish surfaces, and apply wet plaster while reading construction drawings and maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience installing plasterboard and finishing surfaces to high standards.
• Ability to measure, cut and fit plasterboard accurately according to plans.
• Skilled in setting, jointing, sanding and final finishes.
• Proficient in cornice installation and detailing.
• Experience in plaster repair, patching and maintaining surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces and materials prior to plastering and finishing work.

Responsibilities

• Installation of plasterboard (gyprock) to walls and ceilings.
• Setting, jointing, sanding, and finishing.
• Corner installation and finishing.
• Patch repairs and maintenance work.
• Ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
• Measuring, cutting, and fitting plasterboard sheets according to building plans and specifications.
• Applying wet plaster, compounds, and adhesives to walls, ceilings, and partitions.
• Preparing and cleaning surfaces prior to plastering and finishing work.
• Erecting and using ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely on construction sites.
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, measurements, and specifications to determine plastering requirements.
