A family-owned company in Australia is seeking a skilled Plasterer to deliver high-quality wall and ceiling lining solutions. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in residential or commercial construction, with strong skills in plasterboard installation and finishing techniques. Determine plasterboard layout and install insulation and vapour barriers as required.
Measure, mark, cut, lift, position, and securely fix plasterboard to walls, ceilings, and battens.
Prepare and install corner beads, ensuring they are accurately positioned and securely fastened.
Fix plaster and paper cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres, and other plaster fittings.
Cover joints and screw fixings with wet plaster and sealing compounds, then smooth using wet brushes and sandpaper.
Mix and apply coats of plaster, cement, and render to structures using trowels, levelling and smoothing coats to uniform thickness.
Plumb and straighten corners, angles, and wall and ceiling surfaces to precise specifications.
Create decorative textures and finishes in final coats according to project requirements.
Apply and finish acoustic, insulating, and fireproofing materials to meet safety and performance standards.
Proven 1–2 years' experience as a Plasterer (Wall and Ceiling) in residential or commercial construction.
Skilled in plasterboard installation, finishing techniques, and decorative plasterwork.
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality finishes.
Knowledge of WHS safety standards and safe worksite practices.
