Job summary

Water Corporation in Beenyup is seeking an experienced Technical Advisor - Plant Operations to provide specialist operational support across water resource recovery and wastewater treatment assets. You will coach and lead operational teams, troubleshoot processes and optimise performance to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Based in Beenyup with the Operations and Maintenance team, you will collaborate with engineering and project colleagues, drive compliance with licences and safety

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a process industry, utilities, major infrastructure, or operations environment.
• Experience with chemical handling, complex isolation and tagging procedures, confined space entry and permit-to-work systems.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, work instructions and JSA processes.
• Safety-focused, results-driven operational leader with strong technical capability.
• Trade qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent.
• Progress toward or completion of a Certificate IV in Frontline Management.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in an operational environment.
• Possess a current C Class Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and operational support to plant operations and maintenance teams, including acting as Team Leader when required.
• Assist with day-to-day delivery of treatment, maintenance and operational activities.
• Lead fault-finding, process optimisation, shutdown planning and operational troubleshooting.
• Support maintenance programs, minor projects and contractor management activities.
• Drive compliance with operating licences, environmental obligations and safety requirements.
• Coach, mentor and develop operational staff, building technical capability.
• Support incident management and emergency response activities, including after-hours standby as required.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, asset management and project teams to resolve complex operational challenges.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and capital works projects.
