Job summary

Boral Limited is seeking a Plant Assistant for their Artarmon Concrete team on a permanent full-time basis. You will support concrete operations, operate plant and equipment, and help manage materials and stock while maintaining a safe work environment.

The role requires a proactive team player with safety focus and good customer service, able to handle deliveries and work Saturdays. Training opportunities and BEAP access are available within a supportive, equal-opportunity environment.

Qualifications

  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Licences for plant equipment (highly regarded but not essential).
  • Experience in production/manufacturing or industrial environment is desirable.
  • Proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Reliable and available to work every Saturday.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operating plant and equipment including Front End Loader, Forklift, Bobcat and other machinery.
  • Receiving, unloading and receipting deliveries.
  • Material handling and stock management.
  • Conducting routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work environment.
  • Providing high-quality service to internal and external customers.
  • Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting daily production activities.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Plant Assistant to join our Artarmon Concrete team on a permanent full-time basis. Working Monday to Saturday, you will play a key role in supporting our concrete operations, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials, equipment and site activities.

As a Plant Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Safely operating plant and equipment including Front End Loader, Forklift, Bobcat and other machinery
  • Receiving, unloading and receipting deliveries
  • Material handling and stock management
  • Conducting routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work environment
  • Providing high-quality service to both internal and external customers
  • Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting daily production activities
About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Front End Loader, Bobcat and Forklift licences (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing or industrial environment (desirable)
  • A proactive approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Reliability and flexibility to work every Saturday
