Job summary

NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) is seeking a Planning Officer to support the Urban Development Program. The role focuses on analysing housing supply issues, coordinating land use planning with state agencies and local councils, and engaging stakeholders to inform decision making.

You will tackle complex planning challenges through research, data analysis and collaboration to deliver housing and infrastructure outcomes across NSW communities.

Qualifications

• Research planning and infrastructure issues, analyze data and advise on priorities.
• Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply knowledge of the NSW planning system to identify and implement improvements.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with experience preparing reports and briefing materials.
• Strong organisational skills to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Degree in town planning, environmental management, economics, project management, property or related field.
