Job summary

The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage in Western Australia is seeking a proactive Planning Officer to join our permanent and temporary roles across the State. You will investigate, assess and report on local planning matters with support from senior officers, and engage with a broad range of stakeholders.

As a pool recruitment vacancy, this role offers opportunities across WA offices, including Perth and regional sites.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in Urban and Regional Studies, Planning and/or Development or approved equivalent.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Understanding of planning concepts and principles.
• Ability to undertake research and data analysis to deliver land use planning outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, assess and report on local planning matters with support from senior officers.
• Liaise with stakeholders and the public on technical planning matters.
