Job summary

Chisholm Institute seeks an experienced Teacher/Placement Assessor for the Allied Health area, combining teaching duties with active placement assessment during work placements. You will manage resources and education administration to ensure high-quality learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities include maintaining records, coordinating events, and strengthening placement partnerships with employers and education providers.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent meeting Standards for RTOs 2015.
• AQF Level 3 qualifications in Aged Care and/or Disability Support; higher qualifications advantageous.
• Registration with relevant professional bodies for the teaching discipline.
• Record of Vocational Competency mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliver.
• Record of Professional Currency showing current industry and teaching knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Teach allocation and active assessment of student placements during work placements.
• Develop resources and manage administrative tasks to support high-quality learning and placement outcomes.
• Maintain accurate attendance and mark results in Strata to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Plan and conduct Open Nights, information sessions and student selection; represent Chisholm at events.
• Liaise with employers, schools and other providers to build placement host partnerships.
• Provide insights on placement trends and industry expectations to support program planning.
• Develop responsive educational solutions for learners, including fee-for-service clients.

Education

• Salary: $90,879 - $116,147 p.a. Plus Super

Chisholm is seeking an experienced and student-focused Teacher/Placement Assessor for our Allied Health Area.

About The Role

• The role includes a teaching allocation and responsibility for active assessment of student placements while on work placement, ensuring academic and professional standards are me.
• Ensure resource development and educational administration to support high-quality learning and placement outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up to date student attendance records within markbook and ensure all student results and information are accurately recorded within Strata to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Chisholm Policies and Procedures.
• Plan, conduct and participate in Open Nights, information sessions and student selection processes and positively represent Chisholm at conferences, community networks and other events.
• Liaise with key stakeholders such as employers, schools and other education providers to explore pathway options for learners and build, maintain and strengthen placement host partnerships to support sustainable, high quality placement opportunities aligned with program demand.
• Provide informed feedback and insights to relevant internal stakeholders on placement trends, capacity constraints and industry expectations to support program planning and continuous improvement
• Understand market and industry needs and develop responsive, innovative educational solutions for learners, including fee for service clients.

About You

You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.

Qualifications Required For The Role

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or qualifications that meet the Standards for RTOs 2015
• Vocational qualifications at AQF level 3 in Aged Care and/or Disability Support with higher qualifications advantageous.
• Registration with relevant professional bodies as required for the teaching discipline
• A record of Vocational Competency, mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliver
• A record of Professional Currency, demonstrating current industry and teaching knowledge
