Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an experienced PKI Engineer to lead enterprise PKI initiatives, cryptographic services and certificate management across the organisation. The role focuses on designing, implementing and governing PKI solutions that underpin secure authentication, encryption and trust.

You will collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure and application teams to drive modern PKI capabilities, automation, and secure certificate lifecycle management across environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale enterprise PKI environments.
• Deep understanding of PKI, certificates, cryptographic algorithms and lifecycle management.
• Experience with Certificate Authorities and HSMs in enterprise identity platforms.
• Strong automation and scripting capabilities to streamline certificate management.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving in complex security environments.

• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise PKI services and cryptographic infrastructure.
• Design and maintain secure certificate management frameworks and PKI architectures.
• Develop and enforce PKI governance, security policies and CPS/standards.
• Drive automation of certificate provisioning, renewal, monitoring and lifecycle processes.
• Provide technical leadership and consultancy to project teams on cryptographic services and integration.
• Assess emerging security technologies and recommend improvements to strengthen security posture.

About the organisation:

Our client is a large and complex enterprise undergoing a significant security and infrastructure transformation. With a strong focus on cyber resilience, digital identity, and secure service delivery, the organisation is investing in modernising it's enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) capabilities and is seeking an experienced PKI Engineer to lead this critical initiative.

About the role:

As the PKI Engineer, you will act as the organisation's subject matter expert for Public Key Infrastructure, cryptography, and certificate management services. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise PKI solutions that underpin secure authentication, digital identity, encryption, and trust across the environment.

Working closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams, you will lead the delivery of modern PKI capabilities, drive automation initiatives, and ensure the organisation's certificate lifecycle management processes are secure, scalable, and operationally efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise PKI services and cryptographic infrastructure.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure certificate management frameworks and PKI architectures.
• Develop and enforce PKI governance, security policies, standards, and Certificate Practice Statements.
• Drive automation of certificate provisioning, renewal, monitoring, and lifecycle management processes.
• Provide technical leadership and consultancy to project teams, developers, and infrastructure engineers on cryptographic services and certificate integration.
• Assess emerging security technologies and recommend improvements to strengthen the organisation's security posture.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you\'ll be an experienced PKI professional with a strong background in enterprise security and cryptographic services.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience delivering and supporting large-scale enterprise PKI environments.
• Deep understanding of PKI, digital certificates, cryptographic algorithms, authentication protocols, and certificate lifecycle management.
• Experience working with Certificate Authorities, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), and enterprise identity platforms.
• Strong automation and scripting capabilities, with experience streamlining certificate management processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within complex enterprise environments.
