Job summary

SRG Global is seeking qualified and experienced Pipefitters to join our growing team for immediate work at our new workshop in Wattleup. This casual role offers 10 hour days, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime and consistent hours in a well-equipped workshop.

The successful applicant will read engineering drawings, fabricate pipe spools, fit pipes and fittings before welding, and operate band saws, threaders and grinders. A trade certificate and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• Australian trade certificate or equivalent pipefitting cert.
• Safety training: Heights and confined spaces within 2 years.
• WP licence desirable for high-risk tasks.
• Valid driver license and pass medical before start.
• Previous pipefitting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering and isometric drawings and specs.
• Measure, mark, cut, bevel and prepare pipes using hand/power tools.
• Fabricate pipe spools and assemblies to precise dimensions.
• Fit and align pipes, valves, flanges and fittings before welding.
• Perform tack welding or assist welders as needed.
• Operate band saws, threaders, grinders and hydraulic benders.
• Check dimensions and ensure assemblies meet tolerances.
• Maintain safe, organized workshop and follow safety procedures.
