Job summary

Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is seeking a part-time Physiotherapist to join our two aged care homes in Allora, Darling Downs, Queensland. You will deliver person-centred physiotherapy services to residents, focusing on mobility, independence, pain management, and fall prevention.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and decision-making skills.
• Experience in aged care, rehabilitation or community health is desirable.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for older people.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred physiotherapy services across two aged care homes in Allora.
• Provide mobility,-strength and falls-prevention assessments, diagnosis and treatment.
• Coordinate care with General Practitioners and other allied health professionals.
• Document care and education in residents' health records.
• Support residents’ choices and participate in governance and quality improvements.
