Job summary

Your Physio Advantage on the Central Coast is recruiting for the 2027 Graduate Physiotherapy Program. This year-long program provides mentored onboarding, structured education and a progressive caseload as you begin your physiotherapy career.

You will work with older Australians in their homes and communities, developing your clinical skills with weekly mentoring, case discussions and access to senior clinicians. Relocation support is available for interstate applicants.

Graduate Physiotherapist Program – Central Coast | 2027

Your Physio Advantage is recruiting for our 2027 Graduate Physiotherapy Program on the Central Coast.

Your first year as a physiotherapist should be about learning, developing your clinical skills and building confidence — not being handed a full caseload and expected to work everything out yourself.

Your Learn & Grow Year

We have designed our graduate program around what new physiotherapists actually need during their first year.

Your first year includes:

• Two weeks of structured onboarding, training and shadowing experienced clinicians.
• Weekly one-on-one mentoring with an experienced Physiotherapist.
• Dedicated education and training specifically for our new graduates.
• Fortnightly Physiotherapy professional development with the wider physio team.
• Regular case discussions and clinical reasoning sessions.
• Access to experienced senior clinicians for support throughout your working week.
• Guest education and training from experienced clinicians and industry experts.
• $1,000 external professional development allowance.
• Start alongside other 2027 graduates and progress through your first year together.

Your learning time is protected. Mentoring, professional development and graduate training are booked into your diary in advance so your development doesn't have to compete with your caseload.

A Caseload That Grows With You

We don't expect a new graduate to perform like an experienced Physiotherapist from day one.

Your caseload will be built gradually during your first few months, allowing you time to consolidate your assessment, treatment planning, communication and clinical reasoning skills.

As your confidence and experience increase, your caseload will progressively develop towards the expectations of an experienced community Physiotherapist.

You will always have senior clinicians available to discuss more complex clients and help you determine the next step.

Become an Outstanding Community Physiotherapist

Community physiotherapy gives you the opportunity to see the difference physiotherapy can make in people's everyday lives.

You’ll work predominantly with older Australians in their own homes and communities, helping people maintain their independence, mobility and quality of life.

Your caseload will give you experience across areas including:

• Falls prevention
• Balance and mobility assessment
• Strength and conditioning
• Gait retraining
• Rehabilitation following hospital admission
• Neurological rehabilitation
• Chronic disease management
• Pain management
• Mobility aids and equipment
• Functional assessment
• Exercise prescription
• Education and self-management
• Working collaboratively with families, carers and other health professionals

Rather than seeing clients in isolation, community physiotherapy allows you to understand their home environment, their goals and the barriers affecting their everyday function.

It is an excellent environment to develop strong clinical reasoning and become a highly capable, well-rounded Physiotherapist.
