Job summary

Custom Made Physio in Darwin, Australia, is seeking a Part-time Physiotherapist (3 days per week) to deliver hands-on, evidence-based treatment for private fee-paying patients, Pain NT and Medicare referrals. You will help coordinate the chronic pain program in collaboration with Pain NT and build strong relationships with local referrers.

Applicants must hold a physiotherapy qualification with AHPRA registration, have private practice experience in functional rehabilitation, and possess NT

Qualifications

• Tertiary physiotherapy qualification and current registration with AHPRA.
• Private practice experience with sound knowledge in physiotherapy management of functional rehabilitation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues.
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Current NT Working with Children clearance (OCHRE Card) and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on and evidence-based physiotherapy treatment.
• Provide physiotherapy treatment and documentation for private fee-paying patients, Pain NT and Medicare referrals.
• Coordinate the chronic pain program with Pain NT, including assessment, exercise and education-based treatment.
• Manage relationships with local referrers such as doctors, health clinics, sports clubs and local businesses.
• Maintain medico-legal responsibilities regarding note taking and patient confidentiality.

What’s the role?

• Undertaking the role with a focus of “hands‑on” and evidence‑based treatment
• Providing physiotherapy treatment and related documentation as appropriate to private fee‑paying patients, third party, Pain NT and Medicare referrals
• Helping to coordinate the planning and delivery of the chronic pain program run in conjunction with the Pain NT collaboration, including patient assessment, delivery of exercise and education‑based treatment and associated administration
• Managing key relationships with local referrers such as doctors, health clinics, sporting clubs and local businesses
• Meeting medico‑legal responsibilities regarding note taking and patient confidentiality.
