Job summary

Anglicare is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to deliver high-quality aged care services with exceptional customer service and strong interpersonal skills. The role focuses on developing specialised clinical expertise in a residential aged care setting.

This fixed-term, part-time position (4 days a week) is based at Castle Hill and offers a diverse caseload spanning functional and musculoskeletal assessment, rehabilitation, falls prevention, and staff training within our aged care services.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist.
• 2 years physio experience; aged care or community work desirable.
• Evidence-based practice in diverse populations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat clients with functional/musculoskeletal needs.
• Deliver acute/subacute rehabilitation and chronic disease management.
• Participate in falls prevention, mobility improvement, and pain management.
• Contribute to staff training and improve organisational processes.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist who has a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service, a high level of interpersonal skills and a desire to gain further specialised clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to a career in aged care.

This is a Fixed term ( Until end of July 2027) part-time ( 4 days a week) opportunity, based in Brian King Gardens, Castle Hill.

Your opportunity

This role offers a great opportunity to be exposed to a diverse caseload and would suit a clinician who has a broad skills base and enjoys working within a Residential Aged Care environment.

You will be working with clients of functional / musculoskeletal based assessment, acute rehabilitation, chronic disease management, improving mobility and function, falls prevention and management, chronic pain management, subacute rehabilitation, post surgical rehabilitation and contributing to improving organisation processes and staff training.

About you:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist

• 2 years physio experience, experience in aged care or community is desirable

• Previous experience in assessing & treating a diverse population (acute, subacute, geriatric, palliative care) and a commitment to the delivery of evidence-based practice in this population.

• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

• High level of communication and interpersonal skills, strong focus on customer service.

• Ability to work within a team and autonomously.
