Job summary

Vivir Healthcare in Rockhampton, QLD is seeking a Physiotherapist for a maternity term contract (Jan to Apr 2027) to provide aged care and home care services in residential facilities and the community. You will conduct functional assessments, deliver rehabilitation, run small-group exercise classes, and contribute to wellness programs, with opportunities to work across streams including telehealth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy approved by AHPRA, full or Level 3/4 registration
• Current driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Professional indemnity insurance or willing to obtain it
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willing to obtain it
• Flu and COVID vaccination certificates or willingness to obtain them

About the role: Duties and Responsibilities:

This role involves a variety of one-on-one and group physiotherapy services provided to residents in aged care facilities. Some regular duties include:

• Functional assessments on admission, quarterly/annually, and as required.
• Rehabilitation and short-term restorative care
• Small-group Exercise classes
• Wellness programs
• Programs allow for resident-cantered and individualized care.
• Manual handling training
• Opportunities for work and training in other streams, such as Community Home care, and Telehealth

Required: Skills and Qualifications:

• Holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent approved by AHPRA –Full or Level 3 or Level 4 limited Registration.
• Has a valid Drivers’ license and reliable vehicle.
• Possesses Professional indemnity insurance, or willing to obtain it.
• Holds a valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willing to obtain it.
• Has 2026 Flu Vaccine Certificate, or willing to obtain it.
• Has COVID vaccine certificate, or willing to obtain it.
