Job summary

Yallambee Traralgon Village for the Aged is seeking a passionate Physio Assistant / Allied Health Assistant to join our residential aged care team in Traralgon, VIC. You will work with our Physiotherapist and a multidisciplinary team to support residents' mobility, rehabilitation and wellbeing goals.

The role involves assisting with prescribed exercises, mobility programs and documenting progress. A caring, team-focused individual with relevant certs is ideal for this rewarding position.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Previous experience in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, allied health or aged care is desirable.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to support residents' mobility and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support the Physiotherapist in delivering individual and group mobility and exercise programs.
• Assist residents to participate in prescribed mobility, strengthening and balance activities.
• Encourage residents to achieve mobility, rehabilitation and wellbeing goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and liaise with nursing and lifestyle teams.
• Ensure safety and proper technique during activities and report changes as needed.
