Gold Coast Hospital & Health Service – Southport QLD is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Assistant (Education) to support, mentor and educate Pharmacy Assistants. You will educate patients on medicines and devices and provide services under a pharmacist's guidance.

The role offers permanent part-time hours (45.6 hours per fortnight) with a base salary per hour and additional benefits such as superannuation and leave loading.

Qualifikationen

• Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (HLT47115) or equivalent qualification.
• Evidence of vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.
• TB screening to assess vaccination requirements.
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
• Criminal History Screening required for new employees (cost covered by GCH).

An opportunity has become available for a Pharmacy Assistant - Senior (Education) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Provide support, mentoring, education, training and supervision to Pharmacy Assistants
• Provide education to patients on the use of a defined range of medicines, medication aids and devices
• Provide a defined range of pharmacy services for patients under the delegation and guidance of a pharmacist
• Assist Pharmacists in preparing and recording Monitored Medicine orders and undertaking audits of reports and records

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (HLT47115) or equivalent qualification.
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
