Job summary

Central Pharmacy Logistics Pty Ltd – Coburg North VIC is seeking a registered pharmacist to join a varied role across dispensing, warehousing and production. Based in our pharmaceutical warehouse, you will blend dispensing with logistics duties and production tasks, maintaining accuracy and adapting as priorities shift.

Qualifications

• Recognised pharmacy qualification and Ahpra registration.
• Willingness to perform warehouse and production duties alongside pharmacy work.
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy and clear communication skills.
• Confident using computer systems and learning new processes.
• Able to lift and handle loads up to 20 kg.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions and dispense medicines, ensuring accurate records.
• Receive, inspect and store pharmaceutical products, including temperature-sensitive materials.
• Pick, pack and dispatch orders with temperature-controlled packaging.
• Maintain inventory and traceability in the ERP, including stock movements and expiry monitoring.
• Support production activities such as labelling, relabelling, blister packaging and kitting.
• Complete batch records, line clearance and equipment checks; document diligently.
• Identify discrepancies, temperature excursions and quality concerns and escalate.
• Contribute to safe work practices and continuous improvement.

Central Pharmacy Logistics Australia (CPL) provides pharmacy, logistics and production services supporting clinical trials and commercial medicine supply. We make sure medicines are prepared, stored and distributed safely, with patient safety and product quality at the centre of everything we do.

About the role

We’re looking for a registered pharmacist who enjoys hands-on work and wants to broaden their experience beyond traditional pharmacy.

Based in our pharmaceutical warehouse, this role combines dispensing with logistics, warehousing and production activities. It suits someone who takes pride in accuracy and is comfortable moving between tasks as priorities change.

You’ll report to our Director of Operations and receive training and mentoring from our Lead Pharmacist. You’ll also work closely with our Quality Manager to maintain product quality and compliance.

What you’ll be doing

• Reviewing prescriptions and medication orders, dispensing and checking medicines, and maintaining accurate pharmacy records
• Receiving, inspecting and storing pharmaceutical products, including temperature-sensitive clinical trial materials
• Picking, packing and dispatching orders using approved packaging and temperature-control procedures
• Maintaining inventory and traceability in our ERP, including stock movements, reconciliation, expiry monitoring and returns
• Supporting production activities such as labelling, relabelling, blister packaging, kitting and secondary packaging
• Completing batch records, line clearance, equipment checks and other required documentation
• Identifying and escalating discrepancies, temperature excursions and quality concerns
• Contributing to safe work practices and continuous improvement

About you

• A recognised pharmacy qualification and current general registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia through Ahpra
• A commitment to safe dispensing, patient safety and professional accountability
• Willingness to take on warehouse and production duties alongside pharmacy work
• Strong attention to detail, sound numeracy and clear communication skills
• Confidence using computer systems and learning new processes
• Ability to safely lift and handle loads of up to 20 kg (an inherent requirement of the role)

Experience in clinical trials, pharmaceutical warehousing, GMP production or cold-chain handling is an advantage, but we also welcome pharmacists keen to build these skills.
