In this fast-paced, detail-focused role, you will take professional responsibility for dispensing, clinical checking and patient counselling while helping coordinate daily dispensary operations. You will work closely with patients, prescribers and the wider Astrid team to provide timely, accurate and discreet support in line with legal, professional and pharmacy practice requirements.

What’s in it for you?
  • Work in a purpose-led, alternative healthcare business focused on patient access, education and destigmatisation
  • Build specialist pharmacy experience in prescribed natural therapies and broader wellness support
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, clinicians and support teams who value education and transparency
  • Access ongoing professional development, training and peer support
  • Enjoy a collaborative culture where care, professionalism and continuous improvement matter
A typical day might look like:
  • Accurately dispensing and clinically checking prescriptions in line with legal and professional requirements
  • Providing clear, individualised counselling and supporting patients to use their medicines safely and confidently
  • Responding to patient and prescriber enquiries with warmth, discretion and sound professional judgement
  • Coordinating dispensary workflow and supervising Intern Pharmacists, Student Pharmacists and Dispensary Technicians
  • Managing dispensary stock, ordering, storage and records, including controlled medicines requirements
  • Supporting service improvement and a welcoming, premium experience across in-store collection and delivery workflows
About you
  • A qualified Pharmacist with current registration with Ahpra
  • Experience dispensing medicines in a community or specialty pharmacy environment
  • Strong clinical judgement and a thorough understanding of legal, professional and patient safety requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a warm, discreet and professional approach
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy dispensary
  • Collaborative leadership and supervision skills, with the confidence to support and develop team members
  • Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in patient-centred alternative healthcare

Our team members work in our pharmacies throughout their shift, often standing for long periods. Stock replenishment can involve repeated movements and lifting heavier items, so please keep this in mind when applying.

What’s next?
  • Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the hiring manager for an on-site interview at their preferred store
  • Successful interviewees will be offered a position
  • The successful applicant must meet National Criminal History Check requirements and hold appropriate working rights
