Job summary

UGL is seeking an experienced SMP Work Pack Engineer to join our Perth-based Oil & Gas project on an ongoing 5/2 roster. The role requires analysis of schedules, specs and drawings to produce thorough Work Packs and Job Cards that meet client standards, with strong stakeholder liaison and constructability review leadership.

You will work on-site in Perth, WA, delivering technical support across project phases and developing on-site engineering controls while maintaining safety and compliance

Qualifications

• Mechanical background or engineering qualification.
• 3+ years experience in Oil & Gas or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and Excel including data manipulation and analysis.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze schedules, 3D models, MTO data, specs and drawings to create Work Packs and Job Cards to standards.
• Monitor work pack progress and maintain accurate status updates; manage changes.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders and lead constructability reviews.
• Address engineering queries during project phases.
• Support creation and management of on-site engineering control systems.
• Address system performance or delivery issues to keep the project on track.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and clients.
