Job summary

Conveyor Products Manufacturing in Perth is seeking a Production Manager to lead a hands-on eight-person team across CNC laser, welding, fabrication and assembly at our new Perth facility.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will implement safety-first culture, drive on-time delivery, manage costs, and deploy the company’s global production system, with training in Sydney and the US and a clear path to Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Production management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC machinery (CNC laser experience is a bonus).
• Experience in a fabrication and assembly environment.
• Understanding of different types of steel (preferred).
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S or Six Sigma (desirable; training is available).
• Knowledge of quality management systems, preventive maintenance and health and safety compliance.
• A tertiary qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering or Business, or equivalent experience.
• A current driver's licence.
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment health check and drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead production at the new Perth facility with a hands-on team of eight across CNC laser, welding, fabrication and assembly.
• Build a safety-first culture at the new site from day one.
• Deliver product to customers right first time.
• Run the site cost-effectively as it grows.
• Adopt the company's global production system in Perth.
• Conduct safety walks and incident reporting; track quality and maintenance; review cycle times and headcount.
