Job summary

Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is seeking Personal Carers to join our team at Illoura Village Residential Aged Care Home in Chinchilla. You will provide personal care under the guidance of Enrolled and Registered Nurses, helping residents with daily tasks while upholding dignity and respect.

We offer casual and permanent part-time roles with flexible shifts, ongoing training, and opportunities to work across multiple roles within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (desirable).
• Medication Assist Competency (desirable).
• Understanding of Aged Care and Residents' rights and responsibilities.
• Dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives.
• Ability to work well in a team and have a friendly, approachable manner.
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills.
• Flexible with availability of days and shift times.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents including bathing, dressing, toileting and assistance as required.
• Work under the supervision of Enrolled & Registered Nurses to deliver high-quality care.
• Deliver compassionate, person-centered care and build relationships with residents and their families.

About the role

Join our team as a Personal Carer and embrace our holistic approach to care, building cherished relationships with our residents based on dignity and respect.

Working under the leadership of the Enrolled & Registered Nurses, you will demonstrate sensitivity and maturity to provide personal care to our residents, including bathing, dressing, toileting and other support services depending on the individual resident's needs.

You will be a part of a compassionate and dedicated team providing the highest standard of person-centered care to our residents. You'll join a care team where compassion and empathy accompany the delivery of exceptional clinical and personal care to our residents every day.

What will you bring to the role?

• You will hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (desirable)
• Medication Assist Competency (desirable)
