Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Personal Carer Domestic in the BlueCare community team based in Cunnamulla. You will travel to clients’ homes to support daily activities and improve quality of life with compassionate, person-centred care.

You will assist with domestic tasks, meals, laundry and transport to appointments. A current driver’s licence and a roadworthy vehicle are essential, along with comfort using smartphones or tablets for care coordination.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) – Essential.
• Roadworthy and insured vehicle (Third Party Property minimum) to use for work – Essential.
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.
• Confidence to satisfy probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the road visiting clients in their homes, supporting daily activities.
• Provide domestic assistance with house cleaning, meal prep, laundry and ironing.
• Transport and assist with shopping and appointments.

About the role:

As a Personal Carer Domestic you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one‑on‑one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• Provide domestic assistance with house cleaning, meal preparation & laundry and ironing
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.
