Job summary

Infinite Aged Care is seeking Personal Carer Workers (PCWs) to support elderly residents across AM, PM and Night shifts at our Ashmore home. You'll work closely with nursing, hospitality and resident engagement teams to deliver resident-centric care with compassion.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in Aged Care, a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or Diploma of Nursing with aged care placement, or be a 2nd year nursing student.

Qualifications

• One year of demonstrated experience in the Aged Care sector.
• Willingness to help deliver quality of care services every day.
• Ability to follow strict safety procedures and work in a shift-driven environment.

Our Personal Carer Worker (PCWs) are highly interactive supporting our elderly residents, their families, and colleagues 7 days a week across AM, PM and Nightshifts. This role based at our Ashmore care home will see you working closely with the nursing, hospitality and resident engagement teams when performing your resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers. The attached position description outlines specific job duties and accountabilities.

Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector already and the ability to “think on your feet” for strong workplace safety, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also

• Ideally one year demonstrated working experience in the Aged Care sector
• A passion for choosing a career where you can make a difference and willingness to help our company deliver quality of care services everyday!
• Very positive teamwork attitude, a trusted co-worker, excellent time management (we are a shift driven workplace including handovers) and follow strict safety procedures at all times to maintain a high standard of workplace safety.
• Computer savvy including using emails, word and navigating inhouse training platforms.
• Excellent workplace safety awareness to avoid our residents tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears.
• Qualifications in Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) OR
• have completed the Diploma of Nursing with an aged care placement OR
• now a 2nd year nursing student with a placement.
• we do recognise other Cert III courses in related healthcare studies. Industry work placement will also be needed to meet compliance standards.
• Hold the NDIS Workers Screening Clearance as this is essential to work in the Aged Care sector. (*or willingness to obtain)
