Job summary

BaptistCare is recruiting a Care Worker to support older Australians in Shepparton and surrounding areas. You will join the BaptistCare At Home team to provide quality care at clients' homes, building relationships and assisting with daily activities.

Role offers flexible hours, comprehensive orientation, supervisor support, and opportunities for professional development within a values-driven organisation.

Qualifications

• You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, meal prep and dressing.
• Support clients with showering, continence care and medication assistance.
• Provide transport to appointments and activities for independent living at home.

About the role

As a Care Worker supporting clients in Shepparton and surrounding areas, you will be part of our Baptistcare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes.

You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

To support you in your role

• We offer a comprehensive orientation program including buddy shifts
• You’ll have direct access to a dedicated supervisor to support you
• Access to a dedicated learning and development team to support your ongoing professional development and career pathways
• Earn $34.58/hr plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What do we need from you?

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email.
