Job summary

Holmwood Aged Care in Healesville, VIC is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. You will work with residents under the direction of nursing staff to deliver compassionate, person-centred care in line with individual care plans.

Key duties include supporting daily living activities, reporting health changes, maintaining records, and contributing to a respectful, friendly, and safe environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care is required.
• Willingness to obtain a valid Police Check.
• Australian/New Zealand residency or a valid working visa.
• Experience in aged care preferred.
• Understanding of the Aged Care Standards and legislative requirements.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Providing a high standard of care to residents to enrich their quality of life.
• Assisting and supporting residents with activities of daily living.
• Reporting health or well-being changes to nursing staff and documenting appropriately.
• Recording resident information accurately in charts or forms.
• Meeting social, emotional, spiritual, cultural and recreational needs as per care plans.
• Maintaining professional customer service when interacting with residents and staff.
