Enable is seeking Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to help people with learning disabilities live their best lives. No two days are the same as you support individuals to achieve goals and maintain wellbeing.

• Willing to undertake required training and SVQ Health and Social Care where applicable

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and daily living activities

• Help with housework, meals and social activities

Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

James is a fun and active young man who loves trains, sports (especially wrestling, swimming and football) and being social. James lives in his own home and receives one hour support in the morning to help with breakfast and medication, then four hours in the evening which includes activities, housework, dinner and medication. On the weekends, James also receives social support in the middle of the day.

James wants his personal assistants to be fun and outgoing with a great sense of humour. He also seeks someone who is willing to go to concerts and festivals with him, as well as someone who is open and honest, and can communicate and listen well.

Where required, Enable will fully fund SVQ Health and Social Care qualifications – required for SSSC registration
