Job summary

St Mary’s Catholic College, Gateshead, is seeking a permanent full-time Secondary English Teacher to join the team, commencing January 2027.

The school emphasises high standards, differentiated learning and deep literacy across years 7–12, within a Catholic education framework. Ongoing professional development, collaboration and alignment with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers are required.

Qualifications

• Four-year trained teacher with NSW teaching credentials.
• Active NSW WWCC validation.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Anaphylaxis and CPR training completed.
• Experience teaching English at secondary level desirable.
