Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a Permanent Remote Area Midwife to join our team in the Northern Territory, with FIFO options. You will support maternal care in East Arnhem Land, working within a multidisciplinary Aboriginal Health workforce to provide antenatal and postnatal care and to foster culturally safe practices.

The role includes a 6-weeks-on/6-weeks-off FIFO roster, travel and relocation support, and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Permanent Based in Community or FIFO 6 on 6 off - You choose what works for you
• Fully furnished accommodation provided & return flights
• Competitive salary of $131,995 to $141,804 per annum + 12% superannuation

Key Points:

• Fully furnished accommodation provided while working in the community
• Return flights provided for each roster rotation
• A paid 3-day induction at our Darwin office before you travel to your assigned community
• FIFO – Minimum roster of 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off, with extended FIFO rotationsprioritized

As a Remote Area Midwife (RAM), you will:

• Work within a multidisciplinary team alongside an Aboriginal Health workforce in the Maternal and Women’s Health Program
• Provide high‑quality antenatal and postnatal care
• Build trusted relationships with women, families, and community leaders
• Support culturally safe, holistic models of care
• Contribute to healthier futures for remote families
• Engage with Yolnu culture and learn from local knowledge holders
• May be required to participate in the RAN on-call roster at some locations.
