Job summary

Scope Vic in Warrnambool is looking for an Advanced Disability Support Worker (DDSO2A) with an Advanced Diploma to support people with complex disabilities. This permanent full-time role involves working a 73 and 79 hour fortnight, providing warm, respectful, person-centred support, and following behaviour support and safety procedures.

You will assist with daily living, health routines and community access, maintain clear documentation, and communicate with the team.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Diploma in Disability/Community Sector Management or equivalent.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Valid Australian working rights and police check (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence.
  • Follow behaviour support strategies, routines, and safety procedures consistently.
  • Support participants with daily living, personal care, health routines, and community access.
  • Use calm communication and effective de-escalation to manage behaviours of concern.
  • Work confidently and independently while following structured support plans.
  • Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with the wider team.
  • Bring patience, reliability, and a calm, supportive approach to every shift.
