Job summary

Downer is inviting applications for a permanent role at Holsworthy Barracks for a Water Treatment Operator. You will operate and maintain water treatment plants at a Defence base, monitor quality, perform routine sampling, and contribute to safe, reliable water services.

The ideal candidate has Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, NSW Water Operator Certification, and a current driver's licence. NSW Defence clearance eligibility is required, and you will join a high-performing,

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Water Industry Operations and NSW Water Operator Certification.
• Experience in water treatment plant operations or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship is mandatory).
• Current Open Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain small water treatment plants located within a single Defence base.
• Monitor water quality and report on water quality; basic maintenance.
• Conduct routine inspections, sampling and testing of water quality.
• Adjust chemical dosing and treatment processes under supervision.
• Report equipment faults to the Leading Hand.
