Job summary

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne is inviting applications for an experienced Theatre Technician on a full-time basis. Based at our Werribee site, the role reports to the Theatre Nurse Unit Manager and focuses on theatre equipment support and perioperative workflow.

The successful candidate will hold a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Support), have perioperative experience, and demonstrate strong interpersonal communication across staff levels.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Support) from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience in a Perioperative setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the surgeon and nursing staff with surgical procedures through provision, operation and maintenance of theatre equipment and the positioning/preparation of patients.
• Facilitating efficient perioperative processes and ensuring the smooth operation of perioperative services.
• Ensuring equipment and stock are available at all times for perioperative services staff.
