Job summary

Western Hospital is seeking an experienced Perioperative Coordinator to lead theatre operations and support our nursing team. You will coordinate workflow, scheduling and resources to ensure efficient lists while delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Working with surgeons, anaesthetists and the perioperative team, you’ll mentor staff, oversee rostering and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. AHPRA registration and perioperative leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 3 years post-graduate perioperative nursing experience.
• Sound knowledge of ACORN/ANZCA standards and NSQHS Standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse teams.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
• Demonstrated Leadership Experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate theatre workflow, equipment and scheduling to keep lists running efficiently.
• Support staff rostering and workforce planning to ensure right people in the right place.
• Lead, mentor and support nursing team to develop skills and confidence.
• Work with surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider team to deliver patient-centred care.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with standards.
