Job summary

CUE-X is seeking an experienced Performance Testing & Platform Automation Engineer to support enterprise platforms, deliver comprehensive performance testing, and automate operational processes across cloud-hosted environments in Canberra.

These are 12 month contract opportunities to start November 2026. Due to the nature of the work, Australian Citizenship is required with an active mid level AGSVA security clearance highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing performance tests using LoadRunner VuGen, Controller and Analysis.
• Experience with JMeter or NeoLoad for alternative load testing.
• StrongCI/CD and deployment automation knowledge.
• Scripting in Python/PowerShell/Bash for test automation and tooling.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Terraform, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana).
• Knowledge of Git/GitLab CI/CD/GitHub Actions/Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain performance test scripts and environments.
• Execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
• Analyse results, identify bottlenecks andRecommend improvements.
• Monitor platform performance across apps, DB, infra and cloud.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
• Build API integrations and infra automation.
• Troubleshoot issues to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Produce performance test reports and assist defect resolution.
• Collaborate with dev, test and operations teams.

Performance Testing & Platform Automation Engineer

CUE-X is seeking an experienced Performance Testing and Platform Automation Engineer to support enterprise platforms, deliver comprehensive performance testing, and automate operational processes across cloud hosted environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner and related tools.
• Execute load, stress, endurance and scalability testing.
• Analyse test results, identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
• Monitor application, database, infrastructure and cloud platform performance.
• Support and maintain dedicated performance testing environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
• Build API integrations and infrastructure automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
• Produce clear performance test reports and support defect resolution.
• Collaborate closely with development, testing and operations teams.

Skills And Experience

• Strong experience with LoadRunner, including VuGen, Controller and Analysis.
• Experience with performance-testing tools such as JMeter or NeoLoad.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience scripting with Python, PowerShell and/or Bash.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Terraform, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana or Datadog.
• Knowledge of Git, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder-engagement skills.
