Working under the Senior People Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a big impact in a lean, high‑growth startup.

What you’ll be doing

  • Help hiring managers recruit top talent by coordinating recruitment processes and hosting screening interviews
  • Design and coordinate regular company‑wide events
  • Manage the back‑end of our HRIS, Rippling
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Respond to employee queries via Inbox and Slack
  • Create process and educational documentation to create a more ‘self‑service’ employee & manager experience
  • Assist the People Ops team with ad‑hoc projects as they arise

What boxes you should tick (mostly)

  • Experience in People Operations (HR) and Talent Acquisition
  • Experience managing an HRIS and ATS (back‑end)
  • Outstanding written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct interviews and quickly form judgments on candidate suitability
  • Ability to manipulate and analyse data for reporting
  • Basic understanding of Australian employment law
  • Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and build trust with internal stakeholders

💰 Salary range is between $90,000 and $115,000 per annum plus superannuation. All roles at Amber include employee stock options over and above the base salary and superannuation.

This is a full‑time role, to be based ideally from Melbourne. We are also open to you working 4 days a week, 9 days a fortnight or other suitable flexible arrangements. For those based in Sydney or elsewhere in Australia, you will work from home.
